About

me3I work at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada. I’m the eMarketing Officer, which is a new position for the organization though I’ve been working there for 10 years.

I was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, though my parents aren’t Newfoundlanders and my brother left Newfoundland at age 13 so I’m the only true Newfoundlander in the family… sort of…

My family has lived in Lodi,Β  New York for over 4 generations. The house my family has on Main Street is the one that my grandmother grew up in. I’ve been coming to Lodi in the summer my entire life, since birth.

I co-own (with my younger brother) a cottage on Seneca Lake, just past Lodi Point, that we inherited when my uncle passed away in 2006. This is the cottage that my grandparents built in the 1950s.

I’m an American and a Canadian, which can get confusing at the border and at tax time.

Hi! What a neat blog. I just came across it and I’m looking forward to seeing the all the house work and also how you make out with your garden! That is so fascinating about the wallpaper store. Sarah

    Hello,

I recently returned to the Fingerlakes after living out of state for several years. My husband, daughter, and I live in Lodi, just up the street from your family’s home! I just discovered your blog and I am excited to read more of it.

I just wanted to let you know that the song by creedance is about lodi california, which funnily enough also has wineries, but a much larger population, Foggerty was asked about this and he said Lodi Ca, here is the source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lodi,_California. It may be incorrect, but if you can prove otherwise, you should address that site. I am not trying to burst your bubble, but I just thought you would want to know what some people are claiming about this song.

I think you’re right about Lodi CA. We can dream about our Lodi being immortalized by CCR but I think we’re used to not getting that much attention πŸ˜‰
      Thanks for your comment!

Great! It is hard to imagine gardening season with all of the snow that we got yesterday and last night, but spring will be here soon (right?)
